Our Thesis

Opportunity exists everywhere. From Lagos to Jakarta, Medellín to Buea, we are building solutions for jobs, climate, health, and inclusion. What holds us back is not ambition, but the absence of systems that connect our ideas to the capital, partners, and structures we need to grow.

At Sanaga Ventures, we believe entrepreneurship scales when collaboration is intentional and incentives are aligned. That means building networks, partnerships, and joint ventures that bring local and global actors together around shared goals and clear commitments.

We have seen this work in practice. With AfriLabs, we helped create a continent-wide hub network that thrives on aligned interests. With ABAN, we mobilized 80+ angel groups to pool resources and advocate for early-stage investing. Through XL Africa and the Africa Early Stage Investor Summit, we built partnerships that connected DFIs, investors, and entrepreneurs into a more cohesive market.

Our thesis is simple: meaningful entrepreneurship is built on systems of trust, collaboration, and shared purpose. By working together — across borders, sectors, and communities — we can unlock opportunity and translate it into sustainable, scalable impact.

“Our view on systems goes beyond funding or programs — it’s about building the networks, structures, and partnerships that allow entrepreneurship to thrive. When these pieces come together, capital becomes catalytic, entrepreneurs unlock potential, and impact scales in ways no single actor can achieve alone.”

The Value We Create

Building systems. Connecting capital. Advising leaders.

At Sanaga Ventures, we believe that entrepreneurship thrives when the right foundations are in place. Our work focuses on three core areas that make this possible:

-> Building systems

We design and strengthen ecosystems — from accelerators and investor summits to innovation networks and partnerships — that give entrepreneurs the platforms they need to succeed.

-> Connecting capital

We mobilize resources by building bridges between entrepreneurs and investors. Our experience spans creating angel networks, preparing ventures for investment, and structuring pathways that unlock funding for growth.

-> Advising leaders

We support boards, institutions, and executive teams with the strategic guidance needed to scale sustainably. With experience across governance, policy, and international development, we help leaders make decisions that deliver long-term impact.

Together, these three pillars define our approach: practical, collaborative, and focused on turning entrepreneurial energy into measurable outcomes
